Hallmark’s countdown to Christmas begins Friday

Hallmark Channel’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event kicks off this week on Friday, Oct. 17, with 24/7 holiday programming that will deliver nearly 80 hours of new content across 10 weeks.

From “Mistletoe Murders” to “Oy to the World,” get ready for Holiday shows and lots of them.

New movies will air every Saturday and Sunday night, while series will premiere on Fridays and Mondays. All programming will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day.

Maybe they are doing the murder show because it is still Halloween time. Here is a little description for those that want to combine Halloween with Christmas.

“Mistletoe Murders” Season 1: Starring Sarah Drew (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Peter Mooney (“Rookie Blue”). The holiday crime series makes its Hallmark Channel debut after originally streaming on Hallmark+. Emily Lane, owner of Christmas shop Under the Mistletoe, investigates local murders alongside Detective Sam Wilner. Two episodes will air weekly through Oct. 31.
