$11K stolen in Centennial Facebook Marketplace ambush

A man looking to buy gold through Facebook Marketplace was ambushed and robbed in unincorporated Arapahoe County earlier this week.
According to an arrest affidavit, the victim arranged to meet at a home on East Davies Avenue, arriving with $5,000 in cash. As he approached the porch, three to four suspects jumped from the bushes, pointed guns at him, and demanded his money.
After taking the cash, the suspects also stole his gold chain and bracelet — valued at roughly $6,000.
Security footage shows the suspects using their vehicle to block the victim from leaving.
One suspect, identified as Marshall, is seen firing multiple shots at the victim’s car.
Investigators later linked the suspects’ vehicle to an armed carjacking that occurred earlier that evening near Aurora’s Mission Viejo Park.
Police recommend always conducting buy/sell meetups at a designated safe exchange zone — many police station parking lots offer well-lit, camera-monitored spots for exactly this purpose.
Never meet at a private residence, especially after dark, and avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
