Man seeks world record for Halloween display with more than 300 props

“Halloween Herm” is applying for a Guinness World Record for his elaborate Halloween display featuring more than 300 props. His yard is packed full of props that turn on and props that don’t do anything. Big and small…he is bringing them together for a good cause and to beat a record.
The Kentucky homeowner has decorated his property for decades, recently naming the setup “Deadsprings Cemetery.”
Halloween Herm begins installation each August 18 to honor his mother, who died of cancer in 1999.
This year’s display includes a Taylor Swift skeleton and Cincinnati Reds playoff tribute, while serving as a fundraiser for the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center.
“We discovered there are no records for the amount of props in a Halloween display. We have over 300,” Halloween Herm said.
He told CityBeat: “This isn’t just a Halloween display. It’s a living story.”
Did you decorate your front yard for Halloween? How many props did you use? We have about 40-50 with the pumpkins and bats. It’s a lot of work. I can’t imagine over 300 items in one yard.
