The average person devours their Halloween candy stash twice before trick-or-treaters arrive on Halloween, according to a new survey by CVS Pharmacy.
A survey of 2,000 adults found that there is a lot of temptation having that candy around before trick-or-treaters arrive. I’m guilty of it. We have eaten $12 worth of the candy stash so far.
– 26 percent of people restock their candy stash three times or more
– 51 percent of those who decorate believe they have the best-looking house on the block
– 55 percent of people dash out to buy candy at the last minute
– 62 percent of people consider themselves “Halloween people”
-What makes Halloween special…candy (42 percent), followed by costumes (27 percent), Fall atmosphere (23 percent) and spooky vibes (21 percent)
Despite early intentions, more than half (55 percent) said they still find themselves dashing out to buy candy at the last minute.
And it’s not just candy — 43 percent of those who dress up also need finishing touches or makeup in the days leading up to Halloween.
