Is the Secret to Rock-Hard Abs in the Dog Bowl? (Please, Don’t Try This at Home)

Just when I thought I’d heard every “get-fit-quick” hack on the internet—from drinking charcoal to sleeping in specialized pods—the TikTok algorithm has officially hit a new low.
A woman is currently going viral for claiming she achieved her rock-hard six-pack by eating… wait for it… dog food and chicken feet. Yes, you read that right. While most of us are struggling to get our kids to eat a single piece of broccoli, this woman is over here raiding the pet aisle at the local King Soopers to sculpt her midsection.
According to her video, she swears by the nutrient density of high-end kibble and the collagen benefits of chicken feet. She’s calling it the “ultimate superfood hack.”
Look, as a mom of two, my relationship with food is complicated enough. My current “diet” consists primarily of finishing the crusts off my daughters’ PB&Js and whatever cold Diet Coke I can find. Do I want abs? Sure. Do I want them badly enough to eat like a Labrador retriever? Not on your life.
I don’t know about you, but I prefer my dinner to have been prepared by someone who isn’t a Golden Retriever’s personal chef. Between the questionable FDA standards for dog kibble and the sheer lack of seasoning, I think I’ll stick to my actual human meals—even if they do come with a side of “Mom, I’m bored” and a few extra chores.
The internet is a wild place, folks. But let’s use some common sense. If your trainer suggests a meal plan that requires a trip to the vet, it might be time to find a new trainer—or at least a new app.
Has anyone seen a weird fitness trend lately that actually made you laugh out loud? Slide into our DMs on the KOSI 101.1 Facebook page and tell me about it. I need to know I’m not the only one shaking my head at these “influencers.”
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go eat a salad. An actual, human-grade salad. Stay healthy, Denver!
