A Colorado woman is making history as the first female ICU nurse to graduate from US Army Ranger School. The woman who has accomplished this is Molly Murphy, fourth-generation military recruit currently working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) nurse.
Murphy served the ROTC when she was in college at the University of Nebraska during nursing school and recently enlisted in the US Army and is attending Army Ranger school.
According the US Army Ranger website
Ranger School is one of the toughest training courses for which a Soldier can volunteer.
Murphy graduated from Ranger School on July 19, becoming the first woman to graduate from the program as an ICU nurse.
