Bon Jovi announces first tour since frontman’s vocal chord surgery

Jon Bon Jovi is feeling better and as a result, Bon Jovi the band has announced plans to tour again, with seven shows next summer to start.

Bon Jovi, who has been rebuilding his voice following vocal cord surgery, is now planning a blockbuster farewell tour, according to radaronline.

A music industry insider says, “Jon’s voice is finally strong enough to hit the road again. For a while, there were real fears he couldn’t do it. But he’s put in the work, and now he’s ready. Fans are going to lose their minds. He’s not going out half-strength. He’s going out on top.”

“There is a lot of joy in this announcement — joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said in a statement. “I’ve spoken extensively on my gratitude but I will say it again, I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring. I’m ready and excited!”

Bon Jovi’s “Forever Tour” marks the long-awaited return to touring following the frontman’s vocal surgery in 2022. Bon Jovi, 63, chronicled his surgery and recovery in a Hulu docuseries in 2024 called “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.”

At the time, his vocal cords were atrophying.

“This was unique. It wasn’t a nodule. The strong (vocal cord) was pushing the weak one around, and suddenly, my inabilities were just exacerbated,” Bon Jovi told the Associated Press.
