A well-known steakhouse in the Denver metro area is set to close its doors after two decades of service.
Elway’s Cherry Creek will serve its final meal on August 31. The closure is part of a redevelopment initiative, as stated on the restaurant’s website.
The Cherry Creek commercial district is undergoing a $1 billion transformation, known as Cherry Creek West, which includes the site where Elway’s, a running store, and a parking lot currently exist.
In a message on their website, the steakhouse mentioned that they are collaborating with developers to find a new location once the construction is completed.
“We have been privileged to be your dining destination for special occasions and family gatherings over the years, and we look forward to seeing you this month to express our gratitude in person,” the statement reads.
Elway’s Cherry Creek was established 20 years ago by Broncos Hall of Famer John Elway and Tim Schmidt.
