Spirit Airlines Leaving DIA Soon

If you have booked seats on a Spirit Airlines flight in the future you need to read this. Spirit Airlines has just announced that they are leaving DIA starting January 9, 2024.  

That means that all flights are done by that date. 

What do you do if you have already booked a flight after that date? 

From a press release for Spirit Airlines:

We apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience and will offer refunds to those with reservations after this date.

The reason given for leaving DIA is underperformance on routes through Denver.  

I have to tell you that I’ve never flown on Spirit.  I’ve read enough reviews to be a little skeptical and honestly, if I’m going the route of a discount airline I would choose Frontier (plus it’s our hometown airline).  What about you?
