Tis the season to say, “Thank you,” to your employees and co-workers.
A recent survey of 2,000 U.S. workers found that most of us just want some appreciation and connection this holiday season from our job.
65% of employees say they’re likely to attend their work’s holiday party if they had one.
39% say they would come for the free food, and 34% would go if their work friend went, too.
Overall, 55% of workers feel more appreciated during the holiday season.
Workers appreciate hearing “thank you” from their boss, being appreciated by peers, and receiving regular raises.
“Here’s the secret to success: don’t do it yourself,” Motivosity CEO Scott Johnson said. “Leaders need to leverage that power by empowering their teams to be more connected and to appreciate each other more.”
Will you be having a Holiday Party with your job? What company has the best holiday party? Do they still give out gifts? Thanks to this article, I am going to make an effort to tell my co-workers how much I enjoy working with them. I like hearing it too, so if any of you are reading this…I’m in the KOSI studio. wink-wink
