Broncos preseason begins, Rockies, Unicorn Festival and Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance | What’s Up, Colorado

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Colorado has a little bit of everything…football, baseball, unicorns and a great cause. 

Denver Broncos preseason home opener 

Broncos Country gets its first taste of football at Empower Field at Mile High this season as the Denver Broncos take on the Green Bay Packers Friday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and fans can also watch the game on 9NEWS or the 9NEWS app starting at 6 p.m.

Rockies vs. Guardians at Coors Field 

The Colorado Rockies are home for a weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians. Saturday’s game brings the fun with Star Wars Night at Coors Field. Then on Sunday morning, the Rockies will celebrate Hall of Famer Larry Walker with a statue unveiling outside the ballpark. Fans at Sunday’s game can also score a mini Larry Walker statue giveaway while supplies last.

Unicorn Festival in Aurora 

If your weekend needs a little sparkle, the Unicorn Festival is happening Saturday and Sunday at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. Families can enjoy magical characters, food trucks, face painting, foam parties, slides, obstacle courses and more. Admission includes the entertainment and attractions.

Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance 

Centennial Airport becomes the backdrop for a beautiful night of cars, aircraft and motorcycles at the Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance on Saturday evening. The event supports the Morgan Adams Foundation and its work helping fund pediatric cancer research and treatment options.
