Ice agents to support TSA Operations at Denver International Airport

Mar 23, 2026, 8:11 AM

Travelers heading to Denver International Airport (DEN) this week may notice a different presence in the terminals. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel are being deployed to assist the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) with airport operations.

As holiday travel volume surges, federal agencies are working together to manage the increased flow of passengers. Officials state the support is intended to help streamline the security process and maintain safety standards during one of the busiest times of the year.

While the sight of additional federal officers may be unexpected, travelers are encouraged to keep their routines standard. TSA officials emphasize that the primary goal remains ensuring a secure and efficient experience for all passengers.

If you are flying out of DEN, officials recommend arriving at least two hours before your scheduled departure time to account for potential congestion. Remember to double-check your carry-on bags for prohibited items before heading to the airport.

Safe travels, Denver—we’ll be here on the airwaves to keep you updated on your commute. Stay tuned to KOSI 101.1 for the latest local traffic and travel alerts.
