This study isn’t about who has the best tasting pizza…because we could go round and round like a pizza all day discussing that.
This study is simply…who produces the most pizza and has the most pizza locations.
Domino’s, Little Caesars, Howie’s Pizza, Papa Johns and even Pizza Hut are not the largest selling pizza chain in America.
Based on the number of locations, the largest pizza chain in the country is Hunt Brothers Pizza. The pies are outgrowing the competition on a national scale.
Hunt Brothers Pizza took first place with its 9,500-plus locations. Hunt Brothers is only in 36 states whereas its competitors are in 50, but Hunt Brothers still has more locations than its competitors by far.
Domino’s is in second place with 6,929 locations, Pizza Hut’s in third place with 6,775, fourth place is Little Caesar’s 4,203, and Papa John’s is fifth place with 3,145 locations in the United States.
Hunt Brothers is not a standalone store or chain like its competitors. Instead, Hunt Brothers Pizza has grown its empire by selling premade frozen pizzas, ovens, and ingredients to its convenience store partners.
It also sells it’s pizza by the slice at most convenience stores. Most likely you have had a slice of Hunt Brothers Pizza and didn’t realize it.
