A rollercoaster ride that lies in the depths of the Colorado mountains has a weightless effect that flips riders upside down and drops them over 100 feet, all within less than a minute.
Glenwood Caverns Amusement Park is home to some of the highest thrills in the nation and is about two-and-a-half hours away from Denver. It has two record-breaking rides with upside-down views and some of the highest elevation drops.
The ride is the CLIFFHANGER. It is the highest-elevation, full-sized roller coaster in North America. It measures 50 feet tall at an altitude of 7,160 feet, and sits right next to the side of Iron Mountain. The Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon lies 1,450 feet below the ride.
If you’re a daredevil up to the challenge, the ride is open all summer. While you are there, check out they other crazy ride called the DEFIANCE.
