Poles with cameras have popped up on a few Denver streets: Here’s what they do

Denver has installed gray poles with cameras along bike lanes, but they are not being used to enforce parking rules. These poles, called Safety Sticks, are collecting data about parking problem areas. The city is considering using the data to adjust routing and increase enforcement presence, but there are no plans yet to issue automated tickets. Some bike advocates are disappointed by this and believe the automated solution could be effective. Have you seen them? – Jenny
