Bear Wanders Into Aspen Farmers Market, Helps Itself to Bakery Stand

A bear made a very Colorado entrance at the weekly Aspen Saturday Market recently, because apparently even wildlife can’t resist fresh bread.

According to BroBible, the bear wandered into the market and headed straight for the Louis Swiss Bakery stall. Excellent choice, honestly. If you’re going to risk causing a scene, at least make it carbs.

People at the market filmed as the bear ate baked goods from the stand. Some pulled out their phones, while others yelled at the bear to leave.

No word on whether the bear preferred croissants, rolls or whatever was easiest to grab before being publicly shamed by a crowd of humans with iPhones.

It’s a good reminder that Colorado bears are still very much active and very motivated by food. Colorado Parks and Wildlife often reminds people not to approach bears, feed them or try to scare them off up close.

Basically, if you see a bear at the farmers market, maybe skip the video and give it plenty of space.

Also, if you’re a bakery in bear country, maybe put the sourdough on lockdown.
