New meaning to the Artemis “2”?

We’ve all been there: you’re trying to get through the workday, and suddenly, the bathroom is officially “out of order.” But for the crew of Artemis 2, the stakes are just a little bit higher than your average office building disaster.

NASA has confirmed that the toilet on the Artemis 2 spacecraft—the very vehicle meant to take humans around the moon—has hit a bit of a snag. Yes, the high-tech, multi-million-dollar space potty is currently jammed.

Look, space travel is supposed to be all about groundbreaking science and cosmic wonder, but it turns out it’s also about dealing with the same basic inconveniences we face here on Earth. Except, you know, at 17,000 miles per hour and zero gravity.

NASA engineers are currently working on a fix for the plumbing system, because let’s be honest: “Space Toilet Malfunction” is not exactly the headline you want when you’re heading to the moon.

Here at KOSI 101.1, we’re all for innovation, but it’s nice to know even the world’s greatest astronauts have to deal with the occasional “plumbing issue.” It’s the ultimate reminder that no matter how far we go, some things remain painfully, hilariously universal.

So, if you’re frustrated by a broken breakroom tap today, just remember: it could be worse. You could be waiting on a repairman who is currently orbiting the Earth.

Hang in there, NASA. We’re rooting for you (and your plumbing).
