If you’re trying to watch your favorite Netflix shows like “Cobra Kai” or “Stranger Things,” and do so commercial free, your options will be getting more pricey, as Netflix will be dropping their cheapest ad-free $11.99 per month plan.
That plan had already been phased out in the U.K. and in Canada, and soon the same will happen in the United States.
Moving forward, Netflix will have a $6.99 ad-supported plan, or a $15.49 standard HD plan with no ads or a ultra HD option for $22.99.
So far, their changes in subscription plans have not shown a negative impact on their bottom line, as they have had their third consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.
Some other subscription plans out there include:
- Hulu:
- Ad-supported $7.99 a month
- Ad free $17.99 a month
- Disney+:
- Ad-supported $7.99 a month
- Ad free $13.99 a month
- Disney+ / Hulu duo bundle
- Ad-supported $9.99 a month
- Ad free $19.99 a month
- Paramount Plus
- Ad-Supported $5.99 a month
- Ad free (with Showtime) $11.99 a month
- Apple TV+
- $9.99 a month
