My heart goes out to journalist Anderson Cooper.  His 95-year-old Mom has passed away this morning, leaving him with no more immediate family (his Dad and brother are also gone).

Gloria Vanderbilt was known as the “Poor Little Rich Girl” to the whole world when she was a kid, after she inherited a multimillion dollar trust from her famous family.  But, she went on to make her way as an artist and businesswoman, and knew who she was!

But…her son Anderson didn’t know her outside the role of “Mom”, so he worked with her to research the archives of the family history, and produced a documentary starring the two of them back in 2016 titled “Nothing Left Unsaid” for HBO.  And it’s brilliant!  Anyone will appreciate this touching story, but especially those who have lost both parents now.
