Denver is #5 on the list! Look at us.
Colorado is healthy for you to live in and has 2 more cities, in addition to Denver on America’s fittest cities list.
The 2026 American Fitness Index from the American College of Sports Medicine just dropped, and THREE Colorado cities made the top 100 fittest cities in America. Three!
Denver came in at No. 5 in the entire country, right behind Arlington, D.C., Minneapolis, and Seattle. Aurora landed at No. 31, and Colorado Springs checked in at No. 40.
The rankings looked at everything from access to parks and bike lanes to how active residents actually are — and honestly, have you SEEN us on a Saturday morning? We’re hiking, biking, paddleboarding, and chasing our dogs on trails before most people finish their first cup of coffee.
I think our secret weapon is the altitude. We’re gasping for air just walking to the mailbox, so by default… we’re training. You’re welcome, lungs.
Whether you’re a gym person, a trails person, or a “I parked far away at King Soopers and that counts” person — keep moving, Colorado. We’ve got a reputation to protect.
