A beloved hang out for years in Boulder is closing their doors to make way for a housing development. More housing.
The bar will hold its final service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, according to the Daily Camera.
The Dark Horse will permanently close its doors on March 14, 2026, marking its 51st anniversary.
The beloved, 51-year-old establishment is closing due to the redevelopment of the property into student-oriented housing, resulting in the demolition of its long-standing location at 2922 Baseline Road.
I have lots of fun memories at that bar as I’m sure most college aged people in and around Boulder can say.
While the current building will be demolished, there have been discussions about the possibility of the establishment moving to a new space within the same area.
