ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, COLORADO – 13: The 14,259-foot fourteener Longs Peak is covered in snow on May 13, 2023 in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The 2023 winter snowpack around Rocky Mountain National Park was above the normal average. Most likely Denver won’t have a white Christmas this year.  It would be beautiful, but the likelihood is low, about 50%, according to experts.

The good news, this is Colorado and there is a chance that you could see a white Christmas IF you’re in the correct Colorado city.

According to the The National Centers for Environmental Information – after looking at data over the past several years, these Colorado cities have the best chance of a white Christmas.

  1. Crested Butte: 100%
  2. Climax: 99.9%
  3. Hourglass Reservoir: 99.5
  4. Winter Park: 99.5%
  5. Aspen: 99.3%
  6. Steamboat Springs: 98.9%
  7. Fraser: 98.3%
  8. Grand Lake: 97.9%
  9. Ward: 97.7%
  10. Breckenridge: 97.7%

Merry Christmas!
