Beyoncé pushes Sir Paul McCartney into billionaire status

Sir Paul McCartney, 81 has become the first UK musician to become a billionaire. The Sunday Times Rich List has come out in the UK and the former Beatle Sir Paul boosted his wealth in the past year with touring and the lucrative value of his back catalogue.

But, it is thanks to Beyonce’s cover of Paul McCartney’s 1968 song, “Blackbird” that helped him achieve this billionaire status. The success of her “Cowboy Carter” album continues.

Forbes released their richest list of musicians in the UK. Ed Sheeran is the richest young musician in the UK as well as the richest person in the East of England.

Sir Elton John as well as David and Victoria Beckham were among some of the well known names on the list.
