Pilot on delayed flight buys pizza for 150 passengers

One passenger said, “I had noticed that there were no flight attendants, they all went in the back for whatever reason. that was before the captain said anything. I was like, ‘Huh, that’s kind of odd.’”

The passenger said an ambulance was there to meet the plane when it landed, and a passenger was rushed off before the rest of the passengers were deplaned.

The passengers were given food vouchers, but since everything in the airport had already closed, the pilot took matters into his own hands and ordered pizza.

30 pizzas for the 150 passengers showed up at the gate, everyone was “completely shocked.”

One passenger took to TikTok saying, “Our pilot is absolutely amazing. He felt so bad for the situation that he ordered 30 pizzas from a local pizza shop and had it delivered right to our gate and (then) made sure all 150 passengers ate before he made himself a plate.”

United Airlines flight 2480, that was scheduled to fly from San Francisco, California to Houston, Texas on Sept. 13 was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff to Albuquerque, New Mexico when a passenger collapsed in the bathroom and required medical assistance according to a United Airlines representative who commented to Fox News, “We love to see our pilots go above and beyond for our customers when the unexpected happens,”

The flight eventually was able to depart around 11 p.m., which meant the arrival in Houston was not until 02:00 the following morning.

The pilot stood at the front of the cabin on arrival, thanking all the passengers for their patience during the ordeal.
