‘Labyrinth’ returning to theaters in January: Fathom Entertainment sets 40th anniversary re-release

David Bowie was the man back in the day. Growing up I loved Labyrinth and never got to see it on the big screen. Now I get a chance!
The Jim Henson Company and Fathom Entertainment have announced the rerelease date of the classic fantasy adventure movie “Labyrinth,” starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly.
The film, which has maintained a Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, follows a teenager who must navigate a fantastical world to rescue her baby stepbrother from the Goblin King.
In honor of its 40th anniversary, the remastered version of “Labyrinth” will return to theaters for four days in January 2026, featuring a special featurette celebrating the movie’s fans. Directed by Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas, the film’s iconic puppet creatures were brought to life by the Jim Henson’s Creature Shop team.
Thank God for the 80’s movies we grew up on. Hopefully they don’t try and do a remake!
