A Dolly Parton biopic may be moving closer to reality, and apparently half of Hollywood is ready to grab a rhinestone jumpsuit and say, “Why’d you come in here lookin’ like that?”
According to RadarOnline, Sabrina Carpenter and Sydney Sweeney are allegedly being considered to play Dolly Parton in a planned movie about the country legend’s life. Hilary Duff is also reportedly a possible choice. An anonymous insider tells the site that Parton’s family is pushing for the project and believes a properly produced biopic featuring her biggest songs could be a major success.
The insider also says Carrie Underwood is a name that keeps coming up because of her stage presence and personality, adding that several singer-actresses could potentially pull off the role.
No official casting has been announced, and if this project does happen, Dolly’s family would reportedly have the final say on who plays her.
Honestly, whoever gets the part better bring the voice, the charm, the hair and the emotional strength to wear that many sequins without complaining.
