According to a new study by GoBankRates, the top 1% in Colorado earn $896,273 a year.  Making the Centennial state rank #7 in the country.  The state with the highest 1% earners is Connecticut which earns $1,192,947.  The state with the lowest 1% earners?  West Virginia with the top 1% earning $435,302 a year.
