TV series set for release this fall

Sep 14, 2026, 10:00 AM | Updated: 12:54 pm

Temps are dropping, leaves are turning, and Colorado is officially giving fall energy — which means it’s couch season. Good news: the fall 2026 TV lineup is absolutely stacked. Here’s what to queue up while you sip that first pumpkin-whatever of the year:

The Drop: A Snowfall Saga (FX/Hulu) — Already rolling since Sept. 8. It picks up the Snowfall story in ’90s L.A. with the rise of West Coast rap. Think Snowfall, but with more Tupac-era energy.

Neagley (Prime Video, Sept. 16) — Alan Ritchson’s Reacher universe keeps expanding. This spin-off follows his right-hand woman, and it drops Tuesday.

Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story (Netflix, Sept. 17) — Ryan Murphy does what Ryan Murphy does best: takes a true-crime nightmare and turns it into appointment television. Just in time for spooky season.

Carrie (Prime Video, coming in Oct.) — Yes, that Carrie — reimagined for the social-media age. Plus an A24 Friday the 13th origin story and a new season of American Horror Story are all heading your way before Halloween.

Brothers (Apple TV+) — Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson playing possible half-brothers. That’s not a pitch meeting fever dream — it’s a real show.

East of Eden (Netflix) — Steinbeck gets the prestige-TV treatment. If you want something that feels like fall in your bones, this is it.

Harry Potter (HBO, late fall) — The big one. HBO’s series adaptation is closing out the year, and yes, the internet will have opinions.

Returning faves: Yellowjackets (final season), Abbott Elementary (Season 6 on Oct. 7), Slow Horses (new season), South America (the newly renamed South Park, Sept. 16 on Comedy Central — long story) and The Lowdown on FX with Tommy Lee Jones and Ethan Hawke.

Recommended by KOSI 101.1 listeners (ongoing list):

Crystal Lake – October 15th on USA

High Potential – Hulu

Welcome to Derry – HBO Max

Hacks – HBO Max

Anonymous – USA

Reacher – PRIME Video

Lioness – Paramount+

FROM – MGM+

Bottom line: there’s zero excuse to be bored this fall. Blanket, remote, done.
