Empower Field at Mile High, home of our Denver Broncos is among 20 NFL stadiums competing for two readers’ choice awards for best NFL stadium and best NFL stadium food.
Empower Field first opened in 2001, replacing the Broncos’ original home at Mile High Stadium. Since almost 12 years ago there has been many rumors of a new stadium and moving to another location. Maybe this will have them staying right where they are!
The stadium just went under renovations to the tune of $100 million in August!
Empower Field has also announced that it will have a few new food items this year which could help it get to the top!
As of Monday afternoon, Empower Field was ranked first out of 20 in both polls. You can vote once per day for the “Best NFL Stadium” and “Best NFL Stadium Food” — voting will close on Sept. 30. The winners will be announced in October.
Some of the other nominees include the stadiums of the Broncos rivals, like the Kansas City Chiefs’ GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and the Las Vegas Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium.
