Denver’s e-bike rebates are back Tuesday! Here’s what you need to know.

Denver e-bike rebates are back, and if it’s like past years, they always go quickly.

The initial distribution of vouchers will commence online at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. This year, there are five opportunities to apply for a rebate: Feb. 27, April 30, June 25, Aug. 27, and Oct. 29.

Rebates will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is advisable to create an account on the city’s website in advance to save time.

The major change to the program this year is the introduction of a third tier for rebates, as announced by the City and County of Denver. The moderate income rebate is set at $700, the low-income rebate at $1,200, and the standard rebate remains at $300. Additionally, any e-bike purchased through the program must meet national safety standards, with batteries required to be tested and certified to either the UL 2849 or 2271 safety standard.
