Colorado company looking for an intern to be a ‘professional cow cuddler’

Harvest Hosts is seeking passionate individuals for our Professional Cow Cuddler program. As a Cow Cuddler, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquil and therapeutic practice of cuddling with cows, baby cows, (and mini cows(!)) while contributing to the overall well-being of our bovine friends. The summer intern will curate cow cuddling experiences across the country at Harvest Hosts locations and help train and socialize emotional support cows at local farms, while showing visitors how to properly engage with the cows.

 

Responsibilities:

• Cow Care and Comfort: Provide gentle and affectionate cuddling sessions for cows to promote relaxation and stress relief. Monitor the cow’s behavior and response to ensure a positive experience.
• Train Emotional Support Animals: Help cows acclimate to close proximity to humans. Observe the behavior and mood of the cows during interactions and cuddling sessions to help determine best cow/person matches. Report any unusual findings or concerns to supervising staff.
• Assist with Feeding and Grooming: Aid in feeding and grooming routines to maintain the health and hygiene of the cows.
• Support Farm Operations: Assist with various farm tasks and activities as needed, including but not limited to cleaning, maintenance, and participating in educational programs or tours for visitors.
• Promote Animal Welfare: Always adhere to ethical standards and best practices for animal welfare. Prioritize the safety and well-being of the cows and follow established protocols for handling and interacting with them.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Love for animals, especially cows, baby cows, and mini cows, and genuine dedication to showering them with care and affection
• Interpersonal skills, building bonds not just with cows but with fellow humans, too, creating an atmosphere network of positivity and understanding
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and a contagious positive attitude. Together, we can make every cuddle session a memorable experience
• Moderate fitness level, from lifting to bending, ensuring you are ready to tackle any cuddling challenge with grace and strength
• Safety superhero, adhering to protocols with precision and following every instruction to ensure the well-being of all involved, cows and humans alike.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to travel. Will need to travel to multiple Harvest Hosts locations across the U.S.
