Baby on board: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo celebrates gorilla pregnancy

Big news at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo—Asha, a 32-year-old Western lowland gorilla, is expecting! It’s the zoo’s first gorilla pregnancy in 13 years, and they announced it on Mother’s Day to celebrate moms.

She’s due between June and July, and this will be her third baby. Her other two, Dembe and Tumani, have moved on to new troops. Exciting times ahead for Asha and the zoo!
