Brazilian surf star Gabriel Medina made waves at the 2024 Summer Olympics with a record-breaking 9.90 score, but it’s a photo of him floating in mid-air that’s capturing attention.
The image, taken by photographer Jerome Brouillet, shows Medina pointing to the sky as his surfboard hovers behind him in Tahiti. Despite facing tough competition, Medina’s impressive performance has him favored to win gold.
The viral photo has garnered over 3 million likes on social media, with Brouillet describing the conditions as “perfect” for capturing the iconic moment. What an eye and talent!
