Bring your own Bucket: Cinemark’s $5 popcorn deal returns

Colorado movie nights just got better. Cinemark is bringing back its “Bring Your Own Bucket” popcorn deal on Sunday, Sept. 6. You can bring your own container and get it filled with popcorn for $5…and you don’t even need a movie ticket. 

I LOVE movie popcorn. Layered, drowned in butter, no apologies. Last time Cinemark did this, I saw a lady walk in with a plastic storage bin, like the kind you keep Christmas decorations in. Honestly, she was my hero! 

Cinemark says you can get creative with your “bucket,” whether it’s a cowboy hat, guitar or traffic cone. The limit is 400 ounces, which is a little more than 3 gallons per person. 

So whether you’re heading to the movies, planning a couch night in Denver or fueling up before a drive into the mountains, this feels like a very solid snack plan.
