Shark Week 2026 Is Coming & Yes, We Are Absolutely Obsessed

Shark Week 2026 hits Discovery Channel starting runs now through Saturday, August 1 — and with 20 premieres on the lineup, you might as well just cancel any plans you had. Your couch is calling.
Opening night alone is giving us a lot to work with:
- 🦈 K-Pop Shark Heroes — because apparently sharks and K-Pop is a crossover nobody asked for but everyone needed
- 🦈 Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach — the patriotic shark content we deserve
- 🦈 Invasion of the Mega Sharks — sounds like a threat. We’re here for it.
If you have pre-teens at home, go ahead and accept your fate now. The TV is theirs for the entire week and you will be watching sharks whether you like it or not. Honestly? Could be worse.
Shark Week has been a summer tradition since 1988 and somehow just keeps getting better — or at least more dramatic, which in this house is basically the same thing.
