Colorado’s snake cam back in action

Apr 25, 2025, 1:17 PM | Updated: 5:49 pm

The rattlesnakes are emerging from their mega den in Northern Colorado, and you can watch the live stream!  In May of 2024, researchers from California Polytechnic State University set up a livestream at a secluded spot on private land in Northern Colorado, hoping to study rattlesnakes in their natural habitat without disturbing them. What started as a quiet scientific observation quickly turned into an internet sensation when viewers spotted up to 2,000 rattlesnakes on camera, drawing plenty of attention to the research.

Last year, 2.5 million people watched the livestream. We’ll see how it does this year, as the rattlesnakes are now waking up from hibernation! Don’t miss the action—watch it here.

You can read more about it at KDVR.com.
