Are you nice to your colon? We all have one. It’s Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and research suggests that we could cut our risk of colorectal cancer by 50 percent just by changing certain habits.
That’s good to know, considering colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths, according to the American Cancer Society.
Screenings now begin at age 45. I’ve had it done. It was some good sleep. Get checked today and get polyps removed before they become cancer.
Dr. Hans Elzinga, Director of Special Procedures Clinic in Longmont, joins me to discuss the risk factors and how easy the screenings are. Get one today. More people need to be screened.
