Denver, CO — Reeces, Hershey’s, Kita Kat, Snickers, Nerds and Dots are just a few of basic Halloween candy that comes to mind to Denverites. However, despite the love for many, only one can take the crown as Denver’s Favorite Halloween candy.

Last year, the National Retail Federation (NRF)  conducted a study concluding the top 10 candies and state-by-state favorites. According to the NRF, the top ten candies in order are: Reese’s Cups, Skittles, M&M’s, Starburst, Hot Tamales, SourPatch Kids, Hershey Kisses, Snickers, Tootsie Pops and finally, candy corn.

However, Coloradians are deemed chocolate-lovers by NRF as Colorado’s most popular treat hand-outs are Hershey Kisses, M&M’s and Skittles, in that order.

Additionally, last week the NRF reported Total Halloween spending is expected to break records at $12.2 billion.
