Truck full of fireworks explodes on highway

Talk about an early fireworks show nobody asked for. Stick around for the finale.
On Saturday night, a pickup truck hauling a trailer packed with fireworks caught fire on I-75 near Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The entire load went up — rockets and explosions shooting across the highway in every direction.
Both lanes of the interstate were shut down while multiple fire departments rushed to the scene.
Miraculously, no one was injured. The truck has since been cited for multiple hazardous materials violations.
With incidents like this, some experts are warning of potential fireworks shortages in parts of the country heading into the Fourth of July.
Denver, a friendly reminder: ALL fireworks are illegal within city limits — yes, even sparklers. Fines can reach $1,000 and up to a year in jail. Leave the big shows to the pros and enjoy one of Denver’s many official fireworks displays this Fourth!
We’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday and Colorado’s 150th!
