Live Nation disclosed in a regulatory filing that a hacker is selling alleged user data, primarily from Ticketmaster, on the dark web.
The unauthorized activity was identified on May 20, prompting an investigation by Live Nation. The data was reportedly put up for sale on May 27, and the company is working with law enforcement on the matter.
The hack, claimed by a group called ShinyHunters, has not been confirmed in terms of scale, and Ticketmaster has not commented on the situation. This incident comes amid a lawsuit against Live Nation by the US government and several states, alleging Ticketmaster’s abuse of industry dominance to harm fans.
