Formula for the perfect day

Apr 16, 2025, 1:49 PM | Updated: 2:02 pm

What would you say would be the perfect day? We, apparently, have the answer! Thousands of people took part in an American Time Use Survey. It looked at how people spend their time on over 100 activities. Researchers from the University of British Columbia used that data to come up with the perfect day. Here’s how it breaks down!

Here’s what a perfect day looks like, according to the study:

  • One hour for eating and drinking
  • 1.5 hours for socializing
  • Two hours to hang out with friends
  • Another two hours for exercising
  • Six hours to spend with family
  • Less than 15 minutes commuting to/from work
  • A short six-hour workday
  • One hour for TV/phone/tablet/computer

What do you think?  My immediate thought is there is not enough sleep in this equation!
