Splash into Summer: Here’s when Denver metro area public pools open.
With the Memorial Day weekend being the unofficial start to summer, here is when the metro area public pools open for the summer.
Denver
The City of Denver will open its outdoor pools on June 14. The 2024 pool season will continue through Aug. 11.
Arvada
Apex Park and Recreation District has opened the outdoor swimming pools at the Fitzmorris Recreation Center, Secrest Outdoor Pool, and Lake Arbor Center.
The George J. Meyers Swimming Center closed May 9 and a new facility will open in the fall.
Aurora
The City of Aurora opened its outdoor pools on Saturday for Memorial Day weekend. The pools will remain open until Sept. 2.
Boulder
Scott Carpenter Pool in Boulder opened Saturday.
Centennial
South Suburban Parks and Recreation opened its four outdoor swimming pools on Saturday.
Englewood
The City of Englewood opened the Pirates Cove water park on Saturday.
Highlands Ranch
Highlands Ranch Community Association opened its four outdoor swimming pools on Friday.
Regular summer hours begin Tuesday.
Lakewood
The City of Lakewood opened its five outdoor pools and splash pads on Memorial Day weekend.
Loveland
The City of Loveland’s Parks & Recreation Department opened Winona Outdoor Pool on Memorial Day Monday. The Swim Beach at Lake Loveland will open in June.
Thornton
The City of Thornton will open Park Village Pool and City Pool on Saturday, June 1.
Westminster
The City of Westminster has opened its Countryside Outdoor Pool. The pool will remain open until Aug. 11.
