Sky-high relaxation: New open-air plaza lands at Denver’s airport.
Denver International Airport’s open-air plaza, spanning 82,000 square feet, is now open for the season until September 30th. Travelers, or local visitors, can bask in the sun, engage in a game of cornhole, and relax on grass-like turf before their flights.
Throughout the summer, the plaza will host various events. The first event, taking place on Friday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, will celebrate Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Heritage Month and feature captivating performances by Japanese taiko drummers, Polynesian dancers, and a dragon parade.
Additionally, from June 1st to June 30th, visitors to the DIA can enjoy a complimentary nine-hole round of mini-golf between 10 am and 7 pm.
You can find the plaza situated pre-security, nestled between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin Hotel.
