Sinead O’Connor Passes at 56

This is such a sad story.  Singer Sinead O’Connor has passed away at the young age of 56.

The family released this statement, ” It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

Sinead was open about her mental health struggles over the year.  She was the mother of four, but suffered a heartbreaking loss in January of 2022 with the death of her 17 year old son.

Sinead’s best known for her hit song ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and was nominated for a Grammy for that song in 1991.
