Prescription drug take-back day, where to drop off medication in Denver

Check your medicine cabinet for unwanted and unused medications. There are eight drop-off locations in Denver Saturday, April 27. Anyone can drop off medications at any of the locations on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The goal of this event is to ensure the environmentally safe disposal of prescription medicines and to reduce the likelihood of drug misuse or abuse. This event is being held by the Denver Police Department. The police department tells us that most abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, often from home medical cabinets.

  • District 3………1625 S. University Blvd.
  • District 4………2100 S Clay St.
  • District 5……….4685 Peoria St.
  • District 6……….1566 Washington St.

  • Rose Central Park ER……4930 Wabash Street
  • King Soopers………………2810 Quebec Street

These drop-off sights cannot accept liquids, syringes and other sharps and illegal drugs.
