Miss Teen USA resigns 2 days after Miss USA resigns

What is going on in the pageant world? Miss USA Noelia Voigt stepped down from her Miss USA title, citing her mental health. “Never compromise your physical and mental well-being. Our health is our wealth,” she wrote. When she took the crown in November, Voigt, who is from Utah and is Venezuelan American hoped to work to connect with diverse communities across the United States.

Now, 2 days later Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava resigned saying that her personal values no longer align with that of the organization. Both title holders did sign a Non Disclosure agreement so the real reasons for stepping down are unknown.

However, workplace toxicity and mistreatment allegations have been within the organization for years.

Miss Universe and Miss USA did not immediately respond to CNN’s requests for comment.
