Massive CO rattlesnake den is growing larger

It’s the rattlesnake den that has made international news.  Somewhere in northern Colorado, on private land, there is what’s known as a ‘mega den’ of rattlesnakes. IF you are interested, there is even a website devoted to this mega den and a den camera where you can watch them slither around.

If you’re into snakes, this Colorado Rattlesnake cam is extra interesting right now as female snakes are having their babies.  The females have  ‘pups’ as their called and usually have a litter of around 8 per snake.  Currently there are around 2,000 snakes in the Colorado ‘mega den’.

Researchers have been studying the live cam all day and at times report up to 500 people are watching it.
