Katie Couric Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

I have always loved Katie Couric.  Loved watching her cover the news and then co-host the Today Show. I also loved her book and read it cover to cover.

I’m also impressed with her passion for spreading the message about colonoscopies after losing her husband, Jay, to colorectal cancer.

Today, Katie just revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in June.  Couric had the tumor they found during a mammogram removed after it came back positive, and has stage 1A Breast Cancer.  No chemotherapy needed.

Good reminder ladies to schedule your mammograms!  I know I’m calling today to get mine booked.
