At KOSI 101.1, we know Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is more than just a song — it’s practically the sound of Christmas for us. Whether you like her song or not, it plays and it makes her a lot of money every year.
But now, another KOSI favorite is sharing a pretty amazing chart moment with Mariah.
Ella Langley’s hit “Choosin Texas” has officially tied Mariah Carey on the Billboard Hot 100 for the longest number of weeks at #1. They are now tied with 22 weeks at #1. If Ella Langley can hold on one more week she will beat the Queen of Christmas.
I love seeing Ella have this kind of moment, I love her and her bangs and fun attitude.
It’s not every day you see a rising country star and the Queen of Christmas mentioned in the same chart conversation — but that’s what makes music so fun.
We will see if Ella can top the Queen and if the Queen can get her song to start playing early for the Christmas season.
