Don’t miss your flight: Plan for lane closures on Peña Boulevard into Denver’s airport.
If you are planning to take a late night or early morning flight, please take note of the lane closures that will result in Peña Boulevard being reduced to one lane.
Denver International Airport spokesperson, Michael Konopasek said, there will be single-lane closures on inbound Peña Boulevard from July 16-26. This is part of the E-470 Widening Project, which began in 2022 and aims to add a third travel lane in each direction of E-470 from Interstate 70 to 104th Avenue, including Peña Boulevard.
Crews will be working from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. during this period, and travelers to the airport should expect traffic changes from Tower Road to the E-470 overpass, where lanes will be reduced from two to one.
